South Water Caye

South Water Caye is 35 minutes off the coast of Dangriga. This beautiful island lays partially atop the barrier reef. It is a well-known area for the diversity of marine habitats and life. This area is a protect UNESCO World Heritage site among a few other sites in Belize. Divers can practically swim to the drop-offs from the shore or relax on the coast of the island and enjoy the peaceful waves while soaking up the sun. Tobacco Caye

Tobacco Caye is located in the middle of the Belize Barrier Reef at the northern edge of the South Water Caye Marine Reserve. It is approximately thirty minutes offshore from the town of Dangriga in central Belize. Access is by boat, and water taxi service is available from Dangriga and Hopkins. As you approach your destination by boat, this idyllic gem reveals itself from behind the Tobacco Caye Range. Soft, sandy beaches, swaying coconut palms and calm, turquoise waters await you.

Glover's Reef

Home to about 700 patch reefs in the lagoon and surrounded by 50 miles of sheer drop-offs, which start at 25 feet and drop straight down to about 2,700 feet. You will find that most of the reefs are almost uncharted and untouched. This area is a critical nursery and feeding ground for sea turtles, sharks, and numerous fish. Glover’s Reef Atoll is one of the few UNESCO World Heritage sites in Belize and one everyone should experience!

Blue Hole 

Come visit the Great Blue Hole, the biggest of its kind and one of the world’s most famous diving sites. Located near the center of Lighthouse Reef, about 70 kilometers (43) miles from the mainland, the hole measures over 300 meters (984 feet) across and about 123 meters (410 feet) deep. Divers descend into the Blue Hole’s tranquil abyss to see geological wonders and fascinating marine life. The Great Blue Hole is a part of the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Snorkeling

South Water Caye Marine Reserve (SWCMR) is the largest Marine Reserve in Belize. Here you can experience the depths of the water and all the marine life that resides in the area. This area is home to numerous spotted eagle stingrays, large southern stingrays, and completely safe for all levels of swimmers. Scuba Diving

The underwater walls around South Water Caye Marine Reserve are amongst the best in Belize. The walls start between 35 to 65 feet and drops off into the abyss.
